18 Jan A Message for Martin Luther King Jr. Day
We would like to wish everyone a great holiday in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said, “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education.”
Dr. King understood that when these characteristics are developed in students, it helps build a society characterized by equality, justice, inclusivity, compassion, and decency.
We would like to thank you for choosing to dedicate your work to social and racial justice for a stronger tomorrow. Every day in PUC, we strive to continue the work and dream of Dr. King through our mission. Particularly today, we pause to reflect on how critical it is that every student have access to an exemplary public education that focuses on the development of these characteristics in order to build the type of society that Dr. King dreamed of, and we all desire for the future.
