PUC National is an independent non-profit public benefit corporation that serves to promote, support, benefit, replicate, and carry out the purposes and mission of Partnerships to Uplift Communities (PUC Schools) and other such public charter schools or educational programs. It also serves to promote, support, benefit, develop, and provide leadership education, program development, research and professional development to public charter schools and other schools, youth or community programs, and other activities that educate or serve students, children, families, and communities.
Dr. Jacqueline Elliot and Dr. Ref Rodriguez co-founded PUC National in 2014 in conjunction with the opening of PUC Achieve Charter School in Rochester, New York. PUC National has a contractual relationship with Partnerships to Uplift Communities (PUC Schools) to provide a variety of support services to the schools in NE Los Angeles and the NE San Fernando Valley that include but are not limited to finance, human resources, operations, IT and Data Management, facilities identification and acquisition, fundraising, grant management, college access, alumni relations, charter development and renewal, and compliance. The team at PUC National also provides services to PUC Achieve Charter Academy and will be spearheading the development of a network of PUC schools in that region. PUC National has been approached by individuals and organizations in other states to support the opening of other PUC Schools but at this time national expansion is limited only to Rochester, New York.
